The national development and Reform Commission announces 19 days, from June 20th onwards will be gasoline, diesel prices increased 1000 yuan per ton, aviation kerosene prices increased 1500 yuan per ton.

Since July 1st, the national average sales price increased 2.5 cents per kilowatt-hour. Liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas prices are not adjusted.

Development and Reform Commission points out that, in the recent period, the international market oil prices continued to rise substantially, especially since the middle of February this year could speed up. Aggravated domestic refined oil and crude oil prices upside down contradictory, business processing and import loss is severe, most of the local refinery in production, semi-shutdown state, the obvious contradiction between supply and demand. In order to rationalize the price, to ensure the supply of domestic product oil, to promote conservation of oil resources, decided to increase the prices of refined oil products.

Development and Reform Commission said, in order to reduce the effect of price on the life of the masses, to control the price chain reaction, increase of the refined oil price adjustment of the expenditure, the following measures are taken: (a) comprehensive to grain farmers, fishery (including ocean fishing), forestry fiscal subsidies. Among them, the basis of a comprehensive direct subsidy to grain farmers have increased in this year's agricultural, financial subsidy of 5 yuan per mu increased; (two) to the city public transport, rural road passenger transport (including insular and rural passenger transport by water) fiscal subsidies, transport prices do not increase; (three) since July, city low-income population each monthly increase of subsidy of 15 yuan, an increase of 10 yuan in rural areas; (four) the influence of finished oil price adjustment on the taxi industry, solved by increasing financial subsidies, to clean up the unreasonable burden, the price will not be adjusted; (five) liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, railway transportation price shall not be adjusted. The central government allocated subsidies around today.

Development and Reform Commission at the same time, the price adjustment, the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents and agriculture, fertilizer production of electricity prices are not adjusted, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu provinces severely affected by the earthquake disaster of the county (city) electricity price is not adjusted.

Development and Reform Commission also pointed out, the high coal price level at present, in order to prevent the coal, electricity price turns up, from now until December 31, 2008, the temporary price intervention measures for the implementation of coal power generation. During the interim price intervention, national coal production enterprises for power generation using coal mine price, shall not exceed the actual settlement price in June 19, 2008.

Development and Reform Commission requirements related to electric power, petroleum, coal enterprises to strictly implement the national price policy, strengthen the production and transport, to ensure market supply. The competent price departments at all levels should take many kinds of measures, strictly control the effects of refined oil and electricity price adjustment on the market, strengthen the refined oil, coal, electricity price and market price supervision and inspection, to prevent a price; severely crack down on non-implementation of national pricing policy, as well as the behavior spread rumours to mislead people, hoarding and profiteering, disrupted the market price order, maintenance market stability.
